So I am five hours late but here we go. All the clues lead us to believe that Ms. Grande was going to take it mean girls style. And she did so. Not only does she wear cat ears but pink on Wednesday.
The one thing that I need to get out there is that we see an old pal from Victorious in her vid. Elizabeth Gillies. Love her. (P.S. she has a show called Dynasty and your missing it right now if you are reading this) Anyways the best breakup song so passive aggressive. Shall we get into the video.
In the begging we have the burn book we see two of her exs but not Mac. She does this on purpose and that is to give respect to Mac Miller. Then we have everyone reaving about how Ariana changed their life. Then we have Kris Jenner not knowing the level of excitement one should show like a true mom. And is recording her daughter and her friends. I kinda want to see that footage and see how good a videographer Ms. Jenner can be. After the talent show we end up in a different scene if you know what the next part relates to, or what movie/show is let me know in the comments.
So we have her brushing her teeth and another guy come-in. This is basically flipping off paparazzi always getting in her business. Everyone has male friends, and this way she can show everyone whoever is by her side is a friend and only that until she announces other wise. Then we also hear "No need for searching" and we see the guy again. This is very forward. I see it as I don't need to go and look for anyone they always come to me, but I think myself is better anyways.
The next scene is from Bring It On. If you don't know what that is...it is a cheerleading movie or movies I should say. Where cheerleaders compete to win, somewhere one of the teams cheats off the other then...I can't tell you the rest of the plot.
Next we have Elle Woods herself. With her dog and ice tea. Playing this character tells me that she needed more out of her relationships and she was not happy with what was happening. And she can always do better being alone then with some jerk.(I only say jerk because of the movie Legally Blondes not any of her exs because I don't know. We got our news from media not Ariana)
Ms. Grande decided to play rolls that got more and more powerful about being an independent woman. I must say I love the video. And I hope you do to.
